Will I receive a certificate of attendance?
Yes, all attendees will receive a certificate of attendance/CEU certificate. All certificates will be automatically emailed after the conference. You will receive the certificates no later than 3 weeks after the conclusion of the event.
How many continuing education units (CEUs) does the conference provide?
The conference qualifies up to TBD CEUs.
Can I earn continuing education units (CEUs) through the webcast?
Yes, through the Virtual Conference you can qualify up to TBD CEUs. You will have to sign an online form and view the content within 25 days of the conclusion of the conference.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through joint sponsorship of the University of Alabama School of Medicine (UASOM) and the HealthCare Chaplaincy Network. Disclosure to participants: The Spiritual Care Association Nursing Division is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. Criteria for awarding contact hours: attend each session you are requesting credit for and complete the conference evaluation. A total of TBD contact hours are possible. This presentation has no commercial support as defined by ANCC. The content of this activity has no connection to products consumed by or used on patients, so there is no conflict of interest for anyone with the ability to control the content of this activity. Conference Outcome: At the conclusion of this conference 100% of the participants will self-report a change in knowledge related to spiritual care.
Is there additional costs for CEUs?
There are no extra charges to apply for conference CEUs.
Will my accrediting agency accept the conference CEUs?
Acceptance of CEUs is up to your individual accrediting agency. Many state boards accept offerings approved by national or other state organizations. Please check with your own professional licensing board to determine whether our offering will be accepted.
What requirements are needed on our end to participate in the conference virtually?
You will need a computer with access to the internet. Most of the conference content will be streamed live and some content will also be available to be watched on-demand, at your leisure. There will be opportunities for question and answer sessions as well as time to interact with exhibitors. Everyone will receive clear instructions on how to participate, prior to the start of the conference.
Will documents, slides, and PowerPoint presentations be available to attendees?
Yes – all attendees will receive all the material, including PowerPoints, that have been made available by the various speakers. You will also receive recorded videos of ALL sessions from the Caring for the Human Spirit© Conference and International Westberg Symposium.
How will I interact with other attendees?
Through the Caring for the Human Spirit© Conference app, you will be able to interact with speakers, conference organizers, planning committee members, and other attendees. You will still be able to network with others, meet new friends, and reconnect with old ones. During this difficult time of isolation, the use of our conference app will allow us an opportunity to connect and interact.
Content & Video Recording
Will I have access to see the video recording?
Yes, every participant will receive a code to view all recorded presentations: keynote, plenaries, and select workshops.
Do you provide copies of the Plenaries and Workshops PowerPoint Presentations?
Copies are provided via the conference app during the conference and via a secure link after the conference for your convenience.
