It is with great pleasure that the Westberg Institute and the Spiritual Care Association Nursing Division would like to announce the restructuring of our publication Perspectives: A Newsletter for Faith Community Nurses to be a more formalized journal entitled Perspectives: Spiritual Care in Nursing and Faith Community Nurse Practice.

This publication will be for all nurses and other professionals interested in spiritual care and the specialty practice of faith community nursing. Each issue of Perspectives will contain feature and academic articles on topics related to spiritual care and faith community nursing as well as news and updates from the Nursing Division of the Spiritual Care Association and the Westberg Institute for Faith Community Nursing, tools and resources for practicing FCN's and others working in spiritual care, and community building articles related to the specific practices of individuals working in spiritual care and faith community nursing both in the United States and internationally. Some feature articles will also provide nursing continuing professional development contact hours.

You are cordially invited to submit articles for publication. Perspectives article types include feature articles, research articles, academic articles, resource reviews, reproducible resources, and ‘practice perspective’ articles. ‘Practice perspective’ articles focus on the work of a specific person or group of people working in faith community nursing, spiritual care nursing, or other disciplines which intersect with faith community nursing or spiritual care nursing practice. The Perspectives editorial team welcomes submissions from international authors and students of nursing.

For the upcoming issue of Perspectives: Spiritual Care in Nursing and Faith Community Nursing Practice, the editorial team is including a special feature section with short memorial tributes to the Faith Community/Parish Nurses who have died as a result of the ongoing global pandemic.
