The Spiritual Care Association1 (SCA) is the first multidisciplinary, international professional membership association for spiritual care providers that establishes evidence-based quality indicators, scope of practice, and a knowledge base for spiritual care. SCA is committed to meeting individuals’ emotional and spiritual needs regardless of religion, beliefs or cultural identification, in all types of institutional, government, and crisis intervention settings in the US and internationally.
Whether we are providing on-site chaplains with First Responder experience for your in-house staff, or First Responder chaplains to support your deployed staff at natural or man-made disasters, SCA and its First Responder Chaplain Division have the capability to meet your organization’s needs for emotional and spiritual care. The not-for-profit SCA is an affiliate of HealthCare Chaplaincy, Inc. (HCC), a health care nonprofit organization founded in 1961 that offers spiritual care-related information and resources, and professional chaplaincy services in hospitals, other health care settings, and online.
